Job Description:
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in business or related field plus two years of experience with tax return preparation, tax compliance, business ownership and operation, account research and analysis, or interpretation and application of policies, laws, rules, or regulations and supervisory or work leader experience. Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: one year of experience in tax administration and experience coordinating, leading, directing or supervising the work of others; extensive experience using database or spreadsheet software.; knowledge of State tax programs, statutes, rules, regulations, and principles of supervision.
Knowledge of: State and federal rules and regulations pertaining to tax programs; principles of accounting; administrative management theories and practices.
Ability to: Organize work assignments; provide oral and written assessments of proposed legislation, regulations or policies; formulate plans for efficient and effective operation of a work unit; communicate effectively with agency staff and the public; interact effectively with co-workers, government officials, and the public to share or obtain information.
Skill in assessing and evaluating employee performance and resolving interpersonal conflicts.
