Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Experienced or Senior) in Saint Charles, MO.

This position offers the opportunity to enhance a candidate’s knowledge of the acquire process, as well as the overall execution of the business. Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) in Saint Charles has a broad portfolio of programs and customers, both domestic and international. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program

  • Development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques

  • Create business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing

  • Development of complex estimating and pricing methods

  • Develop and maintain complex estimating and pricing models

  • Perform complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).

  • Development/application/maintenance of unique and non-unique rates and factors for estimating

  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree

  • 3+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

  • 3+ years experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

  • Experience with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements/U.S. Government contracts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Experiencing performing risk analysis

  • Experience coordinating and communicating effectively with external customer and across multiple functions including Finance, Supplier Management, and technical disciplines

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Experience with time management skills to meet tight schedules with first time quality

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range (Experienced, Level 3): $93,500 - $126,500

Summary Pay Range (Senior, Level 4): $119,000 - $161,000
