Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring Entry Level Equipment Engineers to join our Production Engineering organization in Auburn, WA. This Asset Integration/Systems focused position will support exciting new endeavors in the Fabrication Division. Our Team is currently hiring for a Entry level engineers. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out on the production floor, interacting with mechanics, safety, and equipment services, and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development of basic equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.

  • Compiles and analyzes technical data for equipment and tooling.

  • Assists with compliance reviews regarding safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.

  • Supports the tracking of contractual performance milestones, the development of preventative maintenance and spares plans, assists with production readiness planning, and training of Production and Maintenance personnel.

  • Develops and implements basic work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.

  • Assists with the disposition of assets.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Experience working in an engineering discipline

  • Experience with production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacity

Preferred qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques

  • Experience working in an Equipment or Tooling Engineer role

  • Experience working in a production environment

  • CATIA or equivalent solid modeling experience

  • Experience with programming, integrating or troubleshooting industrial controls from OEMs.

  • Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems

  • Experience in Automation and robotics

  • Ability to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor

  • Project management knowledge

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

  • Entry (level 1): $76,500 - $103,500
