Senior Flightline Readiness Technical Inspector

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Flightline Readiness Technical Inspector to join our dynamic team in Mesa, AZ.

  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs highly complex pre-flight inspection of aircraft systems and components for conformance to operational and safety standards
  • Leads advanced pre-flight and post-flight checks through thorough inspection of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems
  • Leads the identification of complex issues or nonconformances affecting flight readiness and identifies resolutions for highly complex matters
  • Rechecks work after highly complex maintenance or repair
  • Leads preparing aircraft for flight and Airworthiness Certification
  • Provides guidance on maintaining inspection logs and writing inspection reports

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • 3+ year of experience with Production Flight Test inspection or technical inspection experience in accordance with DAPAM 738-751 on an Army aircraft
  • Experience or training in applying shop math
  • Able and willing to work in confined spaces
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with the Apache aircraft

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $85,850 -$116,150
