Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Manager (Level M) supporting Air Dominance problem solving and project management team in Berkeley, Missouri.

The selected candidate will lead projects focused on improving production processes & technologies in support of current Air Dominance programs and future proprietary efforts.

The current focus for this position will be partnering with other cross-functional stakeholders to drive systematic problem solving in support of FSDA applications within the Air Dominance portfolio. This role will report to the Quality Leader for Air Dominance but will directly support Division Level Projects for the Air Dominance leadership team.

The successful candidate will be impacting technology implementation, acceptance, and enable performance differentiation for future programs. This position involves substantial engagement and leading through influence across multiple functions and senior leaders across BDS & Phantom Works, Boeing Engineering, Test & Technology (ET&T), with multiple functional stakeholders including Program Management, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers develop projects and program plans at all levels across functional areas and executes all project phases to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality, and constraints from initiation to post completion.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a technical or business background
  • More than 5 years of experience in project management, finance, procurement, and process mapping
  • More than 3 years of experience leading multiple high-profile projects simultaneously
  • More than 3 years of strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Systems thinker, able to manage a high degree of complexity and to distill information into simple messages, able to think both strategically at a global level as well as effectively developing key processes
  • U.S. Secret Clearance
  • More than 5 years of Air Dominance platforms experience.
  • Full Size Determinate Assembly (FSDA) Experience with parts and processes.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $178,500 - $241,500
