Your PHOP Leadership Endorsement Form will outline the specific requirements which qualifies you for a direct offer of employment.

Individuals will be responsible for identifying their work locations on advanced airplanes, parts, and tooling by interpreting intricate drawings to accurately complete detailed work instructions. Attention to detail and procedure compliance is critical to identify all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment required to ensure defect-free work. Eligibility:
This position is exclusively open to those who have successfully completed the required Foundational Training Flow and are serving within a contract labor capacity as a mechanic (DAJX, DCTL, DEJ1, DCTJ).

Primary Responsibilities:

Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.
Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed.
Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes.
Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris.
Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds.
Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking.
Performs complex pre-flight inspection of aircraft systems and components for conformance to operational and safety standards.
Completes advanced pre-flight and post-flight checks through thorough inspection of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems.
Identifies issues or nonconformances affecting flight readiness and identifies resolutions for complex matters.
Rechecks work after complex maintenance or repair. Prepares aircraft for flight and Airworthiness Certification. Maintains inspection logs and writes advanced inspection reports.
Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Serving within a contract labor capacity as a mechanic (DAJX, DCTL, DEJ1, DCTJ)
Successful completion of the PHOP program
Physical demands and requirements:
Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
Must be able to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds; push/pull using up to 45 pounds of force; and reach overhead up to six hours per day.
Must be able to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment provided.
Must be able to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required.
Experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
Experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, along with successful completion of training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations, all conducted in English.
Experience in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent education or military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools.
Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures.

Summary pay range for Level B: $66,000 - 78,000
Summary pay range for Level C: $75,600 - 79,800
