Speech Pathologist – Fairfield Outpatient

Speech Pathology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital

  • Largest pediatric speech-language pathology program in the nation.
  • Comprehensive evaluations result in individualized treatment plan for the child, with input from the family. Services include comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, consultations, parent counseling, and treatment for children with communication or feeding/swallowing disorders.
  • Each child is evaluated and treated by an expert in his or her specific disorder.
  • Individualized plans of care include a recommendation of individual or group therapy. Children who do not have the physical prerequisites for speech may be trained to use an augmentative communication device.
  • Family members observe sessions through our closed-circuit system to learn how to work with their child at home.

About the Job at Mason Outpatient

  • Full-time, 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE). Hours scheduled between Monday-Friday. No weekends or holidays.
  • We’re open to negotiating schedule but interested in someone able to work some “family friendly” hours of 4pm and after.
  • Will see variety of patients, and may include those with feeding/swallowing diagnoses.
  • Career ladder/clinical advancement program offers pay increases associated with meeting the competencies for each level.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology or communication sciences & disorders.
  • Active permanent license in speech-language pathology in the State of Ohio.
  • Have Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) granted by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) OR Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate.
