Global Product Innovation - Digital Engineer
Position Purpose
Support global digital strategy through a product development initiatives
Manage inventory, monitor internal testing, analyse and report on results.
Construct engineering reports including, statistical analysis of all laboratory generated data, to enable decision making
Lead digital product innovation initiatives and provide technical expertise for digital related programs
Evaluate new materials, processes and solutions to enable serialization and digital product programs.
Ability to work cross-functionally with procurement, quality, operations, and digital teams globally

Global Product Innovation team including IC and PTT leaders
Global Digital team
Global Process Engineering
Engineering/development consultancies
Professional and regulatory bodies, and expert institutes.
Pallet manufacturers, timber, and hardware suppliers.
Customers – retailers and manufacturers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required
Candidate must be a highly analytical, hands-on person with strong technical skills
Hands on experience working in a high-performance testing or product development and design facility
High-level data analysis, technical reporting, and project management skills
Proven ability to interpret engineering documents, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong communication skills, in order to present technical information clearly throughout different levels
Capable of managing multiple projects at the same time
Well versed in Microsoft Office products and data analysis software
Proficiency in engineering software/tools like Statistica, MiniTab, and Python
Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and data analysis
Skilled in data-driven design and analytical problem-solving
Ability to excel independently and as a member of cross-functional teams
Knowledge of pallet characteristics & properties
Experience
3-5 experience in technical environments related to product development, design, or engineering.
Experience analyzing critical data, experimental design, and engineering technical documentation
Managing data through statistical software like Statistica
Required Skills and Knowledge
Data synthesis and analysis skills
Understanding of material properties relevant to product design and optimization
Working understanding of design of experiments methods and tools
Product testing methods and data evaluation
Project management, networking, and collaboration skills
Strong data analysis skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong desire to engage and participate in cross-functional teams
Skilled in the use of MS Office productivity tools especially Excel & Power Point
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
Working knowledge of adhesives, films, and plastics
Working knowledge of wireless systems and data logging
Working knowledge of programming and electrical systems.
Complex product assembly and product configuration management
Capex project management-experience
