The Department of Emergency Medicine at West Virginia University (WVU), St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV is currently seeking academic Emergency Medicine (EM) physicians at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Qualified and interested candidates would be conserved for a Medical Director/Division Chief opportunity for St. Joseph’s Hospital.
St. Joseph’s Hospital receives 24,000 Emergency Department (ED) visits per year where clinical opportunities and medical student and resident teaching are available. Buckhannon, WV is a picture-perfect town for the career-minded physician who desires low stress of rural life yet demands high-quality care for his/her patients and community members. St. Joseph’s Hospital is ranked in the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals for Best Practices in Quality in the Nation by the National Rural Health Association.
Qualified applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or its foreign equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program and be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
