Fulfillment ManagerSummary
This position is responsible for managing and directing all Assembly, Paint and Packaging functions in accordance with company policies and procedures. It will effectively utilize the available facilities and resources to meet divisional and company objectives as well as customer delivery and quality expectations. This position will also manage all aspects of said departments in complete compliance with ISO quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is Salaried, Exempt and reports to the Plant Manager.Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Oversight: Plant oversight for all Final Assembly activities including assembly, paint and packaging, in accordance with engineering specifications, delivery schedules and quality standards. Maintain an efficient arrangement of the plant and equipment in accordance with approved layouts.
Engineering: Participate in the review, investigation and proposed solutions for design issues with engineering. Actively work with the plant manufacturing engineer as it relates to equipment, product and process improvements.
Sales Collaboration: Work closely with Sales and Finance to prioritize and expedite customer and projects as necessary to maintain core objectives and customer satisfaction.
Quote preparation: Assist in preparing accurate quotes for pricing and assembly estimates for special items by gathering information and analyzing material and job costing.
Manufacturing Excellence: Actively participate in and support the implementation of Lean initiatives.Maintain good housekeeping practices and the enforcement of safety standards.
Process Improvement: Evaluates and improves manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness. Manages timeline to ensure improvements are implemented and realized. Monitor and continually seek improvements relating to scrap and rework issues.
Reporting and Analytics: Establishes, creates, and leverages data, metrics, and reporting to monitor production level, progress toward team goals and objectives, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Leadership and Team Development: Leads, manages, supports, and holds accountable manufacturing personnel to create a high-performing team. Including selection, training, goal setting, career development, and managing performance.
Direct Reports: Oversee the following: Complex Assembly Supervisor and Jacks/Paint/Packaging Supervisor. This position provides oversight and direction to operations in the given areas.
Manufacturing Optimization: Works collaboratively with manufacturing organization and other internal teams to continuously evaluate and improve operations and customer satisfaction, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness including achieving productivity improvements and cost reductions.
Demonstrated Leadership: Leads by example and upholds the company’s values.
Budget Oversight: Responsible for development of and managing the assigned departmental budget.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establishes strong internal relationships and collaborates closely with other departments, including assembly, engineering, finance, supply chain,quality and human resources to align strategies and drive coordinated efforts towards process improvement and customer satisfaction.
Industry Knowledge: Stays up to date with industry trends, and emerging technologies to ensure policies, processes, and technology are fully leveraged.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Business discipline or equivalent experience
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Leadership and management skills
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and variables
Effective oral and written communication skills
ERP systems experience, Epicor experience preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years as a supervisor/manager in a manufacturing environment
Experience in Manufacturing Assembly/Packaging/Paint or similar processes
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
