Shipping Coordinator

Summary

Coordinate all shipping activities. Maintain an inventory for all shipping related items. Assist assembly and inspection personnel with order information as needed. Coordinate special transportation requirements with appropriate customer service representatives. This position is salary exempt, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Generate serial tags for jacks, gear reducers, limit switches, & miter boxes. 
  • Generate appropriate documents for all outbound shipments. 
  • Generate customs documents for outbound international shipments. 
  • Schedule pick-ups for all outbound shipments. 
  • Complete end of day reports. 
  • Obtain freight quotes for outbound domestic /int’l shipments when required. 
  • Maintain a physical inventory of shipping materials. 
  • Maintain compliance with company policy, safety and housekeeping practices. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required. 
  • 2 years experience in traffic activities in an industrial environment. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods standing. 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
