The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the nation's leading cancer advocacy organization. Together with our charitable partner, the American Cancer Society, we work in Congress, state legislatures and local jurisdictions to support evidence-based policy and legislative solutions designed to eliminate cancer as a major health problem.
The State & Local Story Outreach fellowship program is an exciting one-year opportunity to work directly with the ACS CAN State & Local Campaigns team on advocacy campaigns nationwide. The Fellow will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with multiple teams across ACS and ACS CAN to produce storytelling products that clearly advocate for national campaign priorities. The Story Outreach Fellow will join a team of people supporting the collection and vetting of stories that are integrated into state and local policy change campaigns. The story collection efforts are part of the ongoing campaign strategy and also help with efforts to build our grassroot volunteer network in all 50 states.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
