Job Summary:
Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. Provide key leadership for engineering, maintenance, grounds and plant operations for all facilities. Develops strategies for and oversees implementation of Plant Engineering program development, staffing, budgets, contracts, regulatory compliance and utilities.Job Description:
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Specialized Knowledge:
Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical infrastructure and utilities; including: Hospital department functions and interrelationships; design, operation, and construction or maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, building structure (including interior and exterior assemblies). Code requirements, including Life Safety Code and Building Codes. Development, management and forecasting of budgets.
Kind and Length of Experience:
5 or more years with responsibility for daily operations of a hospital engineering/maintenance department; and/or 5 or more years in hospital construction management and/or as a vendor management of maintenance activities within a hospital
