Reports to the Patient Access Manager or Clinical Patient Access Manager, the Patient Access Specialist II is primarily responsible successfully managing large amounts of inbound and outbound calls. The Patient Access Specialist II ensures all pertinent medical information and care needs for patients are identified, documented and communicated to the provider. Collection of accurate demographic and insurance information from patients is equally important to facilitate a successful patient revenue cycle. Based on the operations, this position may be responsible for a variety of duties, including collecting and handling payments, providing customer service, entering accurate and thorough data into EMR, test scheduling, referral processing, and other duties as assigned.Job Description:
