Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate and process accurate invoices in a timely manner.
• Review billing data for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain billing records and documentation.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely payment collection.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and issues promptly.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements.
• Form a positive working relationship with internal and external clients.
• Become a subject matter expert on assigned customer accounts learning and documenting their administrative and invoicing requirements.
• Collaborate with business development, peers, and project management teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Assist with month-end closing activities as needed.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to billing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting or Business required, Bachelors preferred.
• General understanding of basic Accounting principles and disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and negotiate and meet critical timelines.
• Good oral and written communication is required to communicate with the team, peers, management and external contacts.
• Intermediate computer skills in MS Excel, MS Word and basic Accounting software, prior ERP systems experience is helpful.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear and frequently required to sit.  Employee is occasionally required stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to traverse the facility on occasion.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Conditions

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position is afforded the benefit of working in a hybrid arrangement. As a member of Sharp Clinical’s Accounting & Finance team, this role must have an on-site presence, averaging at least two  ( 2) days on site on a weekly basis. Business needs may require this position to be onsite more than two  ( 2) days per week with or without notice. Working remotely must be done in a dedicated, quiet workspace with minimal distractions and/or interruptions.
