Keene State College is seeking a Camp counselor for Kids on Campus – Historical Society Detective Camp (two sessions).

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of campers at all times, including during activities, meals, and free time.

  • Providing guidance and support to campers, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and addressing any behavioral issues or conflicts.

  • Assisting with the check-in/check-out, setup, cleanup, and maintenance of camp facilities and equipment.

  • Communicating effectively with campers, parents, and other staff members, and collaborating with supervisors.

  • Emergency Procedures: Knowing and following all emergency procedures and guidelines, and being prepared to respond to any incidents or accidents.

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • High school education

  • Previous experience working with Kids on Campus

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A positive and engaging demeanor that can motivate and inspire campers.

  • The ability to effectively communicate with campers, parents, and other staff members.
