Job Summary: Responsible to provide internal support to an account management team for an assigned book of business; collaborates with sales and service staff by account, interfaces with clients and carriers, maintains records, and performs other general administrative duties.

A Day in The Life:       

  • Provides direct administrative support as required for one to four assigned Client Managers, Client Executives, and/or Sales Executives; responds to all requests in a timely and collaborative manner.
  • Processes and submits to the appropriate carrier(s) client change requests for adjustments in coverage, which may include adds/deletes and other amendments to the policy; follows-up to obtain receipt, managing high volume transactions in accordance with practice standards for accuracy and timeliness
  • Processes the download of all client renewals and policy transactions from carriers on a daily basis for assigned clients; ensures the integrity and accuracy of all data received, troubleshooting and amending any suspense items in a timely manner.  Processes requests for Evidence of Insurance and Auto ID Cards as specified by Client Manager within 24 hours of receipt of request.
  • Processes automatic and manually issued renewals 30 days prior to expiration date or as soon as they become available from the carrier; updates agency management system with accurate policy coverage details, premiums and commissions.
  • Supports client stewardship initiatives; performs document creation and data extraction activities for Summaries of Insurance and/or more thorough Stewardship Reports as directed by management.
  • Performs tasks specific to assisting the Client Managers and Sales Executives in the management of their books of business; this includes but is not limited to system data entry (Vision), managing expiration lists, preparing new and renewal policies for client delivery, and assisting with various reports/proposals as directed.
  • Ensures client and policy data information in the agency management system is maintained and in compliance with agency standards.
  • Supports overall team effectiveness through timely completion/communication of assigned tasks and by sharing expertise/cross training where possible.
  • Performs duties in a manner consistent with Oswald Companies Professional Standards including all E&O procedures and documents all administrative events in the agency management system.
  • Assists or completes other tasks as directed by agency management.
  • Maintains knowledge of all carriers in order to serve as a “back-up” when necessary.
  • Reviews and distributes incoming mail to all team members on a daily basis.

     

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-3 years or more of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior Property & Casualty support experience is preferred
  • Property & Casualty License preferred.
  • Strong organizational  skills with ability to transition quickly from one job to another
  • Ability to problem solve, think logically and work independently
