Job Description
Scott Petroleum, a leader in the petroleum industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Parts Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone eager to learn, able to operate a computer, exceptional customer service relations, and help manage daily inventory.
Responsibilities:
Daily Inventory
- Check-in inventory crates each morning to ensure that packing slips are accurate and inventory is up to date.
- Oversee inventory stocking of parts and fittings, oils, lubricants and hoses.
Computer Skills
- Billing, receiving and adjusting inventory to ensure customers are billed properly and inventory is correct in the system.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and communicate billing.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct housekeeping inspections to ensure work environment is safe and efficient.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for over/shortage inventory.
- Complete required paperwork, including work orders and inventory reports, promptly and accurately.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other employees and departments to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide support to customers as well as other employees
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional parts knowledge or vocational training is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
