As a Terrain Park Groomer/Cat Driver at Woodward Park City, you will be responsible for the nightly maintenance of terrain parks, tubbing lanes, loads and unloads of magic carpets, and the load and unload of the chair lift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and grooms features in the terrain park and surrounding slopes
  • Operates PB400 and PB400 winch in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintains fluid levels, performs daily machine inspections, and reports any/all damage to vehicle maintenance
  • Assists in the building, installation, and transport of terrain park jibs and snow features
  • Completes required hand/rake work around terrain park features when needed  
  • Assists the rest of the grooming crew when possible
  • Understanding and abiding by Woodward’s safety protocols and precautions while operating grooming equipment.
  • Ensuring safety requirements are met and adhered to at all times by yourself and your staff.
  • Documenting and reporting mechanical and safety issues, along with recording snowcat hours.
  • Communicating with your manager and the grooming manager to plan day-to-day grooming operations based on department needs, weather forecasts, and park rebuilds or events.
  • Snowmobiles, telehandlers, and quads may be required to move snowmaking equipment, such as portable fan guns, for snow removal.

Preferred Sills:

  • Minimum two years of snow grooming experience
  • Knowledge of terrain park terminology and practices
  • Ability to ski/ride terrain park features preferred

Additional requirements:

  • Must Be 18yrs or old
  • Must be able to pass a background and MVR (motor vehicle report) check
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • This position requires working evenings and/or overnight, weekends, and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds occasionally and a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work for extended periods while seated.
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and basic carpentry tools.
  • Ability to work outside in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures.
  • Communicating and receiving feedback occur continuously while communicating with supervisors and other employees. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
