Job Purpose: World Vision International (WVI) Ethiopia implements a large-scale food assistance programme in the Gambella Region, including Nguenyyiel and Terkidi refugee camps, to support South Sudanese refugees. The programme is delivered in partnership with key humanitarian actors such as the World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS).
The Food Distribution Supervisor expected to plays a vital role in the effective planning, coordination, and monitoring of food assistance activities, ensuring distributions comply with WVI and WFP operational standards. Working closely with the camp-level commodity management team, the supervisor promotes proper commodity handling, storage, and distribution practices, strengthens warehouse and stock management systems, and ensures food assistance reaches beneficiaries in a timely, transparent, and accountable manner. The role also requires maintaining strong coordination and smooth working relationships with key partners, like RRS, WFP, UNHCR, and Refugee Central Committee (RCC), to support effective planning and implementation of program activities within the camp.
