The 4-H Horse Events Program Assistant will work in partnership with the 4-H Animal Science Field Specialist to execute multiple 4-H Horse Events. The 4-H horse project is one of the largest in the program and features events like Hippology and Horse Judging, The State Horse Show, and supports youth competing at the Eastern National 4-H Horse Round Up. This staff person will have the opportunity to plan and execute these events from beginning to end phases with 4-H volunteers and staff.
Duties/ Responsibilities
Event Planning and Registration (45%)
Oversee registration including working with 4-H Admin to update and manage Z-Suite Registration process.
Ensure event contest rules are updated and communicated to 4-H members and 4-H program managers.
Compile registrations and create necessary event materials.
Manage event logistics such as location, procurement of materials and transportation needs.
Event Execution (45%)
Key contact throughout registration and day-of event.
Manage event execution including overseeing judges, event volunteers.
Report results and awards.
Event Review (10%)
Compile assessment and ensure entry into Qualtrics.
Requirements
Any level of education or experience is acceptable for this position.
It is preferred the candidate has experience with animal science, event planning and management, and is proficient with Microsoft Programs.

Compensation: $15/hour
