The UNH Manchester College of Professional Studies invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate Material Science courses and labs beginning the spring 2026 semester.  These are 16-week, on-campus offerings

Job Duties:

(50%)

  • 3 hour weekly lectures, class meets in person for two 1 ½ hour sessions per week

  • 2 hour weekly laboratory sessions

(30%)

  • Maintain course materials through the Learning Management System (LSM)

(20%)

  • Proctor exams, grade homework and laboratory reports in a timely manner

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in materials science, physics or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution and previous college teaching experience preferred.

  • All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Physics including current developments and technologies in the field of Physics, or a closely related field is a requirement.

  • The ability to teach and mentor students in a laboratory setting is a must.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skill

Required Licenses & Certifications:

  • Some teaching experience

This is a face to face position and requires individuals to come to the Manchester campus two days a week.

Compensation Pay Range:

$5100 for course
