The Adjunct Research Assistant will work on 1-2 externally-funded research projects about interventions to support young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. One study is focused on comparing two delivery-approaches of a transportation intervention, and the other is focused on a peer-delivered mental health intervention.
A training facilitator is needed to develop and deliver trainings about inclusive postsecondary education to family members of young adults with disabilities, young adults with disabilities, and secondary educators. This is aligned with approved grant activities.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assessments (15%)
Administer standardized assessments
Data (30%)
Conduct and coordinate data collection
Analyze data using qualitative and quantitative analytical methods
Observe (10%)
Observe in-person delivery of the Mental Health StepUp Peer intervention
Notes (10%)
Take detailed field notes
Collaborate (20%)
With research staff across multiple universities
Dissemination (10%)
Have an opportunity to write up findings and be an author on presentations and/or manuscripts
Administrative (5%)
Complete administrative tasks to prepare intervention materials (e.g., formatting materials, occasionally printing, ordering supplies, etc.)
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to follow standardized protocols to administer assessments and complete observations
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Willingness to travel to the Boston area and Manchester, NH during the work week (i.e., availability at least 2-3 days/week between 9am and 5pm)
Transportation study: Travel is expected to occur ~30-40 times/year
Mental health study: Travel is expected to occur ~2 times/week
Travel costs will be reimbursed
Ability to manage time and complete tasks in a hybrid work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical training (position is open to students working towards clinical or education licensure)
Experience with qualitative coding
Experience with data management

Compensation Pay Range:
$27/hour
