Location: Christiana Hospital – Newark Campus
Shift: Overnight | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: Includes every other weekend and holiday
Hours: Full-time | 40 hours per week

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure all patient, office, and hospital areas are clean and sanitary
• Maintain carts and equipment in safe, orderly condition
• Stock supplies such as paper products and soap
• Clean precaution rooms following infection control protocols
• Respond to service requests via phone/text promptly
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns
• Attend departmental training sessions
• Safely handle trash, linen, and soiled equipment
• Maintain confidentiality and a helpful, service-oriented attitude

What You Bring:

• High school diploma preferred
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Strong attention to hygiene and safety
• Ability to stand and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfort using smartphones or PDAs for work assignments

Working Conditions:

• Prolonged standing, walking, and lifting
• Potential exposure to infectious materials (with proper precautions)
• Safety glasses required at all times

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
