Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg 36 hr nights

Job Description:

Johnson 5 is a twenty-six-bed adult and geriatric medical/surgical unit and a thirteen-bed pediatric unit, operated on a 24-hour basis on the fifth floor of the Johnson Building. The pediatric area specializes in the delivery of comprehensive medical and surgical care of the pediatric patient from neonate to twenty years of age. There are six private rooms and five multi-bed rooms. There is one negative pressure isolation room designated for pediatrics; four private rooms and three two-bed rooms.  

Patient Population The most frequent medical diagnoses for adult and geriatric medical patients are · Asthma · Pneumonia · Gastrointestinal bleeding · Bronchitis · Hypovolemic · Cellulitis · Diverticulitis · Abdominal pain The adult and geriatric surgical patients represent a variety of specialties · General surgery · Gynecology · Orthopedics · Ear, nose, and throat surgery The most frequent medical diagnoses for the pediatric patients are · Asthma · RSV/bronchiolitis · Gastroenteritis · FUO · Pneumonia The pediatric surgical patients represent a variety of specialties · General surgery · Orthopedics · Ear, nose, and throat surgery  

Requirements: 

  • MA RN 

  • BSN Preferred 

  • ACLS preferred 

  • PALS preferred 

  • BLS required 

  • Current  Med/Surg experience with Adults and Pediatrics 

 

 

Pay Range:

$36.00 - $79.12

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.  The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
