Overview

A lovely family in Westchester County, NY is seeking an experienced, professional, and flexible newborn care specialist for a 3 month contract, starting end of May/first week of June. The schedule will be 20/7 for 3 months with an option to extend to 4 months. Their priority will be implementing a schedule/routine for the baby and eventually sleep training. 

Responsibilities

• Care and engagement of the baby including but not limited to sleep, feeding, and routine management. 
• Light housekeeping related to the baby, which will include keeping baby's spaces organized, clean, and tidy and sanitizing any toys or feeding items including bottles, pump parts, etc.  
• Communicating with the parents about milestones, activities, temperament, and needs and collaborating with them on care.
• Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
• Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care while respecting the family’s personal preferences
• Encourage healthy sleep habits and follow safe sleep guidelines 

Qualifications

• The right candidate will have a positive and warm demeanor, glowing references, and plenty of experience 
• Flexible and easy going personality 
• Team player willing to work with other staff in the home 

Requirements

• 10+ years strictly NCS
• Experience sleep training infants using evidence based techniques 
• Legal to work in the US
• Able to commit to minimum 3 month contract 
• Up to date on Tdap vaccine, ideally Flu and Covid vaccines as well but not required
