HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your Role:
- Directly and indirectly responsibility for the patient care environment.
- Provides care collaboratively with health care team members; leads, mentors, role models for other health care team members.
- Coordinates and delegates care in a safe, secure, and clean environment.
- Uses evidence-based practices to assist physician(s) directly in diagnostic and interventional peripheral-vascular, minor surgical procedures (e.g., diagnostic and interventional neurovascular and pain management procedures, chemo-embolization, radio-embolizations ((e.g., yttrium-90 (Y-90) radio-embolizations), abscess drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, kyphoplasties, vertebroplasties, gastrostomy tube (g-tube) placements, nephrostomy tube place, inferior vena cava (IVC) filter insertions and removals, trans-jugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPSS) placements, trans-jugular liver biopsies, sclerotherapy, Pleurx placements, cholecystostomy drains, and biliary drains).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education
- Associate degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program
Required Experience
Preferred Experience
- Two (2) or more years of radiologic technologist or invasive cardiovascular specialist experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry
- Certified as a radiologic technologist (RT) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 468 (Miscellaneous Professions and Occupations), Part IV (Radiological Personnel Certification).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Preferred Certification/License/Registry
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) (RT(R)) credential from the ARRT.
- Cardiovascular Interventional (CV) Radiography credential from the ARRT.
- Cardiac-Interventional (CI) Radiography credential from the ARRT.
- Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiography credential from the ARRT.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
