Job Description Summary
The Regional Operations Director (DO) is a senior leadership role responsible for the operations, clinical, and financial performance of a subset of value-based primary care practices within a region. The DO will manage multiple practice locations, ensuring the successful execution of operational and strategic goals, with full P&L responsibility. This role will also focus on fostering a positive practice culture, improving clinical outcomes, ensuring patient satisfaction, and meeting financial objectives.

Leadership & Culture
· Build and nurture a practice culture that aligns with MPG's values, promoting teamwork, ethical practices, and high-quality patient care.
· Foster strong relationships with providers and staff, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
· Conduct regular practice meetings to ensure alignment with corporate values and operational goals.
Financial & Budget Management
· Collaborate with the RVP to develop and manage the regional practice budget.
· Assume full responsibility for the P&Ls and financial performance of assigned practices, inclusive of value-based care financial constructs.
· Monitor key financial, operational, and clinical KPIs, addressing any gaps or inefficiencies.
· Create and execute strategies to meet financial targets and operational goals.
Operations & Strategy
· Develop strategic plan for value-based care initiatives and ensure day-to-day operations aligns with value-based care models.
· Identify opportunities for expanding value-based initiatives and partnerships with other healthcare organizations or community resources.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of value-based care programs, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize patient outcomes and cost efficiency.
· Collaborate with the corporate integration team to manage region-specific integrations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
· Develop and implement an annual strategy for the region, ensuring its successful execution.
· Identify and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
· Manage practice staffing levels and schedules to ensure the efficient operation of each location.
Provider & Staff Management
· Interact with providers regularly, ensuring standards of communication and information are met.
· Plan and attend monthly Physician meetings.
· Coordinate provider onboarding, ensuring smooth transitions into the practices and alignment with MPG's standards.
· Hire and manage staff based on practice needs, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet patient demand.
· Conduct quarterly performance meetings, set annual goals, and manage performance appraisals.
· Address any performance-related issues fairly and consistently.
· Manage PRN and float staff as needed.
Clinical & Patient Care
· Lead efforts in patient care coordination to ensure high-quality, efficient care that meets value-based care metrics.
· Monitor patient satisfaction levels and implement changes to improve service delivery.
· Ensure adherence to practice standards regarding cleanliness, materials, and overall presentation of the facilities.
· Manage service recovery efforts when necessary to maintain patient satisfaction and care quality.
Compliance & Best Practices
· Ensure that all practices comply with healthcare regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
· Continuously evaluate and improve practice processes to enhance patient care, efficiency, and compliance.
· Streamline vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective procurement of necessary materials and services.
Collaboration & Communication
· Maintain open lines of communication with providers, staff, and leadership.
· Forge strong links with other departments to address practice needs and improve service delivery.
· Perform quarterly rounding with providers to assess performance, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
· Review monthly, weekly, and daily performance reports to assess practice progress against goals and adjust strategies as needed.
· Use data analytics tools to track performance against key value-based care metrics such as readmissions rates, patient outcomes, and cost effectiveness.
· Lead performance improvement initiatives in response to data analysis.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor degree required. MBA preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in clinical practice, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a healthcare setting (experience in value-based primary care is a plus).
· P&L Responsibility: Proven experience managing P&L responsibilities, including budget creation and financial oversight.
· Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and providers.
· Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and leadership.
· Problem-Solving: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to drive change and overcome operational challenges.
· Compliance & Regulations: In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in patient care.
Compensation:
$97,619.00to
$122,023.50
