Job Description Summary

‎ 

The Medical Assistant III provides advanced leadership and operational support within a large care center environment at CareMore Health. In this role, the Medical Assistant III is responsible for supervising administrative and non-physician clinical staff while ensuring efficient office operations, high-quality patient experiences, and strong team engagement. While this role is primarily focused on leadership and operational oversight, the Medical Assistant III may perform Medical Assistant duties on a limited basis (20% or less of total work time). This position may support one large, multi-specialty integrated care center or multiple CareMore Health Care Center locations, depending on organizational needs

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Provide supervision and leadership to administrative and non-physician clinical staff. 

  • Implement, monitor, and ensure adherence to operational and office policies and procedures. 

  • Analyze daily office operations, patient flow, and utilization of resources to improve efficiency. 

  • Ensure office processes support quality care delivery, patient satisfaction, and patient retention. 

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels while promoting positive morale and engagement. 

  • Partner with Regional Management to align care center operations with organizational objectives. 

  • Conduct and lead monthly staff meetings. 

  • Hire, onboard, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports. 

  • Support care center operations serving larger patient populations and higher staff volumes. 

  • Perform Medical Assistant duties on a limited basis as operational needs require (≤20% of time).

Minimum Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a physician office or healthcare setting. 

  • Working knowledge of managed care and fee-for-service reimbursement requirements. 

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

  • Current and valid Medical Assistant certificate / certification from an accredited training program required. 

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required, depending on location or patient population. 

  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required 

  • Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required.
