The Training Specialist will work closely with the Head of Training to develop and deliver training content required for the review and approval of the 9/10 transaction reports submitted by or on behalf of Field Partners.  They will be responsible for creating a dynamic atmosphere that helps new and existing employees learn so they are confident in their knowledge of platforms, policies and procedures, and department provided resources upon mastery of the material needed to successfully perform the job.  The Training Specialist will escalate any issues to the Head of Training when appropriate and will collaborate with other partners on related transaction report reviews and approvals.  

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct new hire and existing hire training classes

  • Possess unique knowledge and experience with ALL platforms and systems used by the departments

  • Become a SME on any changes to the technology platform impacting the departments processes and procedures

  • Collaborate and provide feedback on department resource manuals, materials and newsletters

  • Work closely with Management to provide consistent messaging of policy and procedural updates across sites and teams

  • Perform a needs analysis within the department and subsequently develop and maintain a resource material

  • Initiate and take ownership of projects related to content and training updates and subsequent communications within the department

  • Ability to deliver coaching sessions in an individual one-to-one setting

  • Drive discussions and determine supplemental resource needs in management and team meetings

  • Analyze and report applicable metrics, training impact, user experience and escalations

  • Provide suggestions and work with internal partners on how to mitigate clear deficiencies in policy or procedure that create risk for our department or the Firm

  • Provide coverage and support to the 9/10 transaction report queue employees on a consistent basis

  • Ability to handle a high volume of activity in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones

  • Collaborate with Risk Analysts for other groups and be willing to provide assistance as needed

  • Collaborate with other members of the SRU Training Team to drive similarities to US domestic training classes

  • Periodic touch points with Line of Business Managers and Business Leads to ensure consistency across sites

  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

  • Licensing Required; Series 7, 66 or 63 and 65, Series 9/10

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education experience

  • 2-5 years of industry experience

  • Previous content aggregation and delivery, or related experience preferred

            

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Highly Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills

  • Appropriate escalation of items

  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and client service skills

  • Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic knowledge of Operational Policies & Procedures

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
