The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans, and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses, and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.

Regulatory Controllers is part of the Global Corporate Controllers organization. We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Senior Data and Quantitative Analyst with expertise related to risk management and finance technology process improvement and digital transformation for daily and monthly calculation and production activities associated with RWA Capital Basel 3 Standardized Credit rules and Regulatory Reporting. Candidate will have regular interaction with various teams across the global Finance organization.

Responsibilities include:
> Daily/Monthly/Quarterly RWA Capital calculations processes execution based off of VBA enabled Access databases and Excel
> Execute variance analysis for calculated results, coordinating investigation and rationale with the product SME's, business units, product control, and technology, amongst others, to validate analysis
> Troubleshoot issues on the VBA enabled Access databases and Excel
> Ongoing development work coordination with Technology for the decommission of the VBA enabled Access databases and Excel
> Development of tactical solutions in modern technologies to retire the VBA enabled Access databases and Excels as a bridge to the strategic technology migrations, aiming at improved controls, accurate calculations and efficiency
> Perform analysis alongside with partner teams to progress on data quality enhancements and mitigation
> Analyze data in partnership with the business units to identify areas for data improvement, and partner with technology on implementing strategic solutions
> Continual working groups with various stakeholders to optimize Capital Calculation processes
> Assisting with month end, earnings release & quarter end close RWA reporting, including reconciliations, manual adjustment calculation & submission and variance analysis, both at a consolidated level and for select individual legal entities.
> Develop a strong working relationship with Finance, Front Office, Treasury, Technology, Audit, Independent risk, and other counterparts across the organization
> Perform automation of the CCAR 14A and semi-annual QIS processes
> Help team to respond to regulatory, audit and business questions and provide portfolio insights. Prepare statistical analysis to support these responses to the inquiries
> Assist in the timely and accurate preparation and filing of quarterly and annual regulatory reports and other FRB reports. Work with internal, external, and regulatory auditors as needed.
> Work closely with IT and Projects on various enhancements - streamlining processes, issue resolution

> Support senior management from perspective, providing data analytics and impact analysis when needed.
> Assist with ad hoc requests/projects as needed.

Qualifications :
> Strategic mindset and great communication skills to liaise with Technology change agents and Capital SME's to prioritize the migration to Strategic platforms from Access/Excel Capital calculation solutions while reducing risk, enhancing documentation and eliminating manual processes
> Ability to review existing intricate Access/Excel Capital calculation code and solutions and transform them into standard programming languages like Python and automation applications such as Alteryx
> Experience in managing relevant BAU daily processes catering to senior stakeholders, overseeing junior staff, while managing a process improvement book of work
> Professional with 5-10 years of experience
> Understanding of US regulatory capital rules for counterparty credit risk for
> Basel III, Basel IV and CHA rules
> Understanding trade life cycle with ability to deconstruct transactions to assess Basel III, Basel IV and CHA impact.
> Understanding of US regulatory rules for Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR)
> Understanding of regulatory capital best practices and controls, and interdependencies between Trading Book and Banking Book exposures across different risk stripes
> Evidence of working closely with other Finance functions and an ability to develop good working relationships both locally and in other locations.
> Proven ability to initiate and enhance the control framework for Finance functions.
> Proven ability in resolving issues and implementing initiatives.
> Ability to assess complex issues and drive resolution with various stakeholders.
> Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to plan and prioritize deliverables toward number of competing objectives.
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
> Advanced Python, R, Alteryx, SAS, Access, Microsoft Excel, Visio application and master in working with big data.
> Public accounting or Internal Audit experience and/or banking/finance industry experience is preferred.
> BS/BA in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
> CPA, CFA or CIA is preferred

,Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission

earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
