Vice President – Home Loans Product Manager

Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association (“MSPBNA”) offers banking and credit products and services, including securities-based lending, mortgage loans and home equity lines of credit primarily to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s high net worth clients.
 

MSPBNA is seeking a Vice President – Product Manager who will help lead projects and processes designed to meet the needs of our clients while complying with regulatory, risk, and operational requirements.  The role, which sits within the Morgan Stanley Home Loans Product Group, will report to the Executive Director, Home Loans New Product Development, and work closely with Home Loans management and external partners to manage a pipeline of initiatives critical to the growth of the business and to ensuring an exemplary client experience.

Job Description/Position Responsibilities:

  • Design new products and solutions for the Home Loans business, leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence when applicable
  • Develop subject matter expertise on Home Loans business and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and design new products or solutions appropriately, leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence when applicable
  • Lead new product development initiatives from inception to implementation
  • Drive analysis and recommendations based on data, client and Advisor input, Sales feedback, and Legal / Compliance / Risk guidance
  • Manage initiatives using project management best practices, including status updates to managers, senior leaders, and key stakeholders
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure collaboration, alignment, and agreement on all initiatives
  • Partner with internal partners to deploy communications related to new product launches or process enhancements
  • Partner with Marketing to develop and maintain all product-related materials
  • Create PowerPoint presentations to supplement initiative reviews, working groups and status updates
  • Schedule and lead meetings and working groups relevant to specific initiatives
  • May involve participation / ownership in New Product Approval or Program Change Management processes

Required Experience

  • 6-10 years of professional experience in product management
  • Working experience in Consumer Banking, Mortgage, Wealth Management and/or top tier consulting firms is a plus
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional, strategic initiatives
  • BA/BS required

  • Self-motivated to learn and develop subject matter expertise on the business
  • AI exposure and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to utilize data to drive decision making
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to learn quickly about mortgages or expand on past experience in the mortgage industry
