Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of the Meducare Operations Coordinator and direction of the Meducare Program Director, the Critical Care Paramedic (CCEMT-P) is responsible for the transport, primary assessment, stabilization, and preparation of critically ill and injured patients for ambulance transport. This position performs inter-facility and emergency transports and ensures all duties are conducted within DHEC certification guidelines and MUSC protocols.Entity

Provide assessment and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients during inter-facility or emergency transport.
Perform within DHEC certification guidelines and institutional protocols.
Ensure ambulances are stocked and in operational condition at the start of each shift.
Maintain readiness and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the transport team and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
Additional Job Description
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P) in an EMS environment with direct patient care responsibilities.
EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic)
CCEMT-P (Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport – Paramedic)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support) – either from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
