Job Description

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing hospital functions on a designated shift.  He/she confers with the nursing staff, physicians, and other department personnel as necessary to meet the overall needs of patients. Informs the hospital administrator on call of any situation that may require attention.  Manages staffing to provide continuity of professional nursing care.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduate of an School of Professional Nursing

Experience: At least 2 years in a behavioral health facility

Licenses/Certificates: RN Licensure in the State of South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement; AHA BLS Certification; Certified in Handle with Care (can be obtained on hire). Certification in de-escalation training within the orientation period for employment.
