Job Description
The Phlebotomist III reports to the Laboratory Manager. Under general supervision, the Phlebotomist III draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May collect capillary specimens. May conduct interviews and draw blood samples to screen donors at blood bank. The Phlebotomist Tech III is expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and behaviors consistent with competent practice.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.   Experience: 2 Years work experience in phlebotomy required.  Credentials:  Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course.  This is a Career Ladder Position.  Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.  External candidates are required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 6 months in position.
