This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Undergraduate student must be enrolled in at least 12 enrollment hours for Fall and/or Spring semester(s):

  • Fall: 8/16 – 12/31

  • Spring: 1/1 – 5/15

Purpose

The Work Study Undergraduate Research Assistant (URA) will assist in gathering accurate and current data to support the goals and objectives of the grant projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform research data entry and data tracking, across various data bases, to include Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap).

  • Conduct library database and internet searches to identify articles, data sources, and related resources to support project activities.

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to document resources and track project activities.

  • Assist with recruitment tasks for research study, including attending in person recruitment events on or near the UT Austin campus and making study calls to engage research participants as needed.

Required Qualifications

Undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin must be enrolled in at least 12 enrollment hours. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently to complete assigned tasks. Positive, outgoing attitude and intellectual curiosity. Should be dependable and reliable. Values the contributions of others in the workplace.

Salary Range

$15.00 Hourly

Working Conditions

  • May work around standard office conditions.

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Work Shift

  • M-F, Flexible between 8am-6pm
