Job Details:
The Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management (IROM) consists of four academic disciplines: Information Management, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, and Statistics.
The IROM Department has several outstanding and nationally ranked programs including the Undergraduate Management Information Systems program (#5 by U.S. News and World Report), the MBA Information Systems program, the Undergraduate Product/Operations Management program (#11 by U.S. News), the Supply Chain Management Center (#9 by U.S. News), the MBA Productions/Operations Management program (#16 by U.S. News), and the MS Business Analytics program (#2 by QS World University Rankings).
As An Undergraduate Research Assistant (URA) in Operations Management you will participate in the execution of collaborative research studies with Professor Diwakar Gupta and will play an important role in research related to Dr. Gupta’s research project “Analysis of Financial Statements of Organ Procurement Organizations”.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least 12 credit hours.
Proficient in Python or R
Sophomore status or higher
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently
Strong analytical background
UT Austin BBA Honors
Knowledge of the US health care system and the organ procurement and utilization system will be an asset.
$15
Work performed in standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.
10 hours per week
Position ends on 12/31/2025
