  • LWC (healthylives) creates a culture of student campus well-being through programs, education, health messages, student engagement and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the outreach and social media coordinator on the following tasks in support of marketing and communications for Healthyhorns (UHS, CMHC, and LWC):

  • Create social media content including captions, graphics, video reels and photography.

  • Identify current social media trends and generate fresh content ideas to boost audience engagement

  • Assist with set up, break down, and organizing items for outreach and tabling events

  • Maintain inventory of all Healthyhorns promotional items, marketing/communication collateral and help organize promotional item storage closets

  • Represent Healthyhorns at on-campus events; must be comfortable engaging with students, faculty and staff

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor 

Required Qualifications

  • Previous marketing/communication experience

  • Some knowledge of social media management, including following a content calendar and tracking analytics

  • Ability to recognize and keep up with social media trends and adapt them to fit the Healthyhorns brand

  • Comfortable being on camera to create engaging and informative content

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and previous experience with using Box, Monday.com, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite and other software programs

Salary Range

  • $12.00 per hour

  • All students receive a $0.50 increase at the start of each fall semester after completing one academic year working with Healthyhorns.

Working Conditions

  • This position will be in person at the SSB

  • Location: Student Services Building (100 W Dean Keeton St, Austin, TX 78712) SSB 5.228

Work Shift

  • 10-15 hours per week

  • Hours completed in person at the SSB during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • This position will start in January 2026 with the possibility of continuing employment beyond the 2025-2026 academic year.

  • There is 1 open position.

  • May work outside regular working hours for special events.
