Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The MRI Technologist (MI) use MRI equipment to create cross-sectional imaging of patients to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of disease. They interact directly with Radiologists and provide patient care by positioning patients, explaining procedures, following safety measures, and administering contrast agents.  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Attending or graduating from an accredited MRI or Radiology Technology program.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 

Minimum Required: One year in Radiology or MRI or required amount of clinical hours worked with all Masteries completed. Maintain registry status, work hours as assigned, good interpersonal communication skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Must obtain registry in MRI within 6 months of hire. BCLS required.

• Start/End Times: 7am-5pm, 3pm-9pm, or as assigned.
