Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Care Technician performs direct and indirect patient care tasks and unit clerical duties to assist in meeting patients’ needs for comfort, safety, and service.  The Clinical Care Technician is partnered with and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: One year experience in healthcare which includes direct patient care.
 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire and one of the following certification/license/registrations:

• Currently have or have had a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license obtained through the State of Wisconsin Department of Licensing
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant registration from the American Medical Technologist (AMT)

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
