JOB PURPOSE:

The TransActive Gender Project Program Assistant will work closely with CCE Program Manager and TransActive Program Director in sustaining the day to day needs of TransActive Gender Project as well as supporting key initiatives including but not limited to research for a PK-12 Gender Diversity toolkit, assistance with administration of a new certificate program, and creation of a platform for self-service online advocacy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer phone calls and emails and be the first point of contact for community members interested in TransActive services
  • Support client intake for TransActive youth and family support groups
  • Support Program Manager and Marketing & Communications Manager in marketing and social media posts for TransActive programming and services
  • Assist in resource referrals for individuals contacting TransActive for medical and mental health services, advocacy, and support services
  • Assist Program Manager and Program Director with administrative support of the TransActive Gender Diversity Certificate Program
  • Assist Program Manager and Program Director with research, editing and writing of the PK-12 Gender Diversity Toolkit
  • Assist Program Manager in the development of an online platform for advocacy services and needs
  • Assist Program Manager and Program Director with other initiatives and projects as may come up including volunteer coordination, youth advisory councils, training development, and community focused event coordination

RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY:

  • Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.

SCHEDULE:

  • Flexible

  • 10-15 hours per week

RATE OF PAY:

  • Flat rate per event
