JOB SUMMARY
The Critical Care Transport Supervisor-Unit provides management for unit transport operations as well as clinical and financial performance, in collaboration with the staff and leadership. This individual is responsible for continued review and adherence to clinical protocols to align with best practices. The Critical Care Transport Supervisor-Unit works adheres to all state regulations, along with established system policies and procedures. This individual plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities and services to promote clinical excellence and program growth and development. The Critical Care Transport Supervisor-Unit serves as a leader and role model for staff and is an active participant in process improvement and decision-making. The skills and functions of the Supervisor are both managerial as well as clinical nursing practice based.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Diploma or Associate degree for paramedic or Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Preferred/Optional: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Three years’ of critical care experience, emergency department and or intensive care experience. Ground transport experience. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Written and verbal communication skills.
