Assist the Director of Security & Safety in providing a safe and secure hotel environment for our guests and staff members.

Job Description

• Analyzing and appraising all available methods, procedures and devices to upgrade the security/safety department.
• Development and supervision of the Security staff through proper training and consistent follow-up to insure effective, competent and intelligent execution of Security responsibilities to include:

• Investigate and monitor all initial security reports. While completing the reports listen with empathy, provide accurate information and document legibly all appropriate incident information.
• Develop and maintain programs that will help reduce hotel losses and aid in creating procedures that secure the hotel, guest and team members' property.
• Develop and maintain an ongoing relationship with local Municipal and Governmental law enforcement agencies, insurance carriers and other agencies whose good will is beneficial to the hotel.
• Organize and implement CPR, First Aid, Fire Brigade and Computer classes.
• Establish proper staffing levels providing training, guidance and conduct evaluations for all officers on your shift. Maintain and monitor training, weekly work schedules including authorization of all vacation, sick and personal requests on a consistent basis. Ensure all training files are complete and up to date.
• Supervise the work and investigations of Officers.
• Provide accurate information to inquiries for directions, hours of operation, etc.
• Assist guests with door lock problems using moderately complex hand- held electronic apparatus.
• Implement checks to insure that all reports and logs have been properly completed and signed.
