Main Purpose:
Ensure that all river operations are conducted in compliance with the highest safety standards, ensuring the efficient use of assets and resources for the fulfillment of commercial contracts.

Key Responsabilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervision of the team handling river operations. Administrative team (6) and Crews (85).
- Handling contracts for river operations customers and vendors.
- Management of commercial relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Decision-making for crew management.
- Administration of all operational reports for different levels of management.
- Management of all assets on a monthly basis, to define assets availability with the team in charge.
- Supervising prioritisation (OPEX/CAPEX).
- Variable operating costs management.
- Annual budget management, in accordance with commercial contracts and asset availability.
- Planned audits and inspections of tugboats and barges.
- Collaborate with HSSEQ Manager to review HSE policies regularly, ensuring compliance with regulations and suggesting preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and standards specified by ISO and IGS. Develop and maintain documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records, to ensure conformity with ISO and IGS standards. Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Responsible for supervising and coordinating tasks involving the insurance and legal departments.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the operations and protocols of the river division to boost efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Responsible for any argument required by management to analyze investment opportunities or company growth.
- Collaborate with property security providers to ensure that accurate security protocols and procedures are in place. Investigate and report any security incidents or breaches, taking appropriate action.

Education
- University degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, and/or related Engineering, Business Administration, or Naval-related fields.
- Master’s degree in Management, Projects, or Operations is helpful, with equivalent experience considered.
- River safety certifications (desirable).
Language skills and computer tools
- Spanish: Native/proficient level (reading, writing, and conversation).
- Guarani (desirable).
- English: Advanced level (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint): intermediate level (required).
- Knowledge of ISO standards.
Labour experience
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in river transport operations.
- Validated experience in personnel supervision.
- Experience in fuel/hydrocarbon handling (desirable).
Documentation required for the position
- Category B driver's license (required).
- Naval General Prefecture card (required).
