Eversource is looking for a Construction Representative, Transmission to be located in Western Massachusetts. This role is responsible for all aspects of the construction field management and construction inspection process of projects for transmission lines and substations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Will directly supervise Transmission Construction Representatives. Will work with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Contract Administration, other Transmission Group managers, CONVEX, Legal, Purchasing, and field staff to ensure the safe and timely completion of work meeting Eversource's quality standards. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental programs, policies, rules, and regulations; will direct safety awareness and compliance initiatives within the department; and be responsible for monitoring the safety and environmental performance of contractors.
Role and Scope of Position:
Responsible for oversight of construction contractor activities in accordance to project plans and specifications for projects at Eversource. Observes and inspects construction contractors in the field to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, state/local siting conditions, contract documents, environmental regulations, and safety regulations. Assigned transmission line and/or substation construction projects. Works closely with personnel in Transmission Project Management, Environmental Permitting, Siting, local control centers, and Outreach Services.
Essential Functions:
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
• Must obtain and maintain switching and tagging certification.
• Must obtain and maintain substation escorting privileges for Type 3 Electrical work.
• OSHA Training
• Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and codes along with construction standards and regulations
• Working knowledge of construction methods and procedures
• Knowledge of energy delivery power systems
• The ability to learn and utilize available information technologies
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent,
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related construction experience required
• Experience in Transmission Systems preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
• Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required
Working Conditions:
• Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
• Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
• General/Electrical/Transmission ROW (Right of Way) construction conditions. Construction activities are performed year-round, work schedule dependent upon specific project
• Must be able to enter ROW and other job sites that are in remote areas with uneven terrain.
• Must be able to work within an energized substation environment

Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $104,380 to $109,180, plus incentive. Salary progresses in accordance with the union contract. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
