Department Details
Manager is responsible over Rice Lake and Eau Claire gift shops and West Region volunteer services. Travel is required between sites. Great opportunity to work with community members and staff.Summary
Oversee the day to day operations of the volunteer services. Included in this role, but not limited to: interviews potential volunteers, ensures adequate volunteer coverage and scheduling for departments, coordinates volunteer project requests, coordinates volunteer/recognition events, manages the database.Job Description
May be asked to run additional reports and spreadsheets. Ability to use appropriate reference materials. Must be self-directed with a high level of accountability and minimal supervision. Must have flexibility and adaptability skills to accommodate changing situations and workloads. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects to completion. Functions as a coach and mentor to employees/volunteers. High level of customer service, public relations, training and problem solving skills. Provides Annual Education Training for volunteers. Facilitate all events, and maintains and facilitates pertinent communications and programs throughout the organization based on regional location. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style. Must be able to utilize all office equipment including personal computer and application software, printer, FAX, copier, multi-line telephone system. Adapting and creating new job descriptions for volunteer roles, collaborating with staff and volunteers, creating letters of recommendation for college students, reeducation and training, impact statements (describe to departments how many hours volunteers have contributed to; including monetary savings). Must be able to deal with conflict. Manage reports of volunteers who have gone on to further med school, etc. Understand and implement workforce development. Manage the entire process for new volunteers, including orientation, onboarding, and exit process. Develops and integrates budgets for multiple functional areas. Collaborate with departments on creating new volunteer opportunities. Positions the organization in anticipation (months to years) of new marketplace trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities. Serves as a consultant to other system volunteer programs.Qualifications
