Key Responsibilities:
· This role has responsibility for both Transactions and Alliance Management for INTO and reports directly into the VP, Business Development, Interventional Oncology.
· Will work as a core member of the Interventional Oncology (INTO) business development team and collaborate with Therapeutic Area leadership and senior management to impact decision making.
· Responsible for alliance management of existing INTO alliances as well as any new alliances as needed.
· Design governance, monitor milestone achievement, drive joint planning, and resolve escalations.
· Supports new business development activities, including negotiations, due diligence and integration efforts.
· Prepares business cases, briefing and discussion materials on recommended transactions.
· Manages concerns, risks, and issues during negotiations by addressing questions and problems through analysis and research
· Leverages technical, analytical, and management skills to deal with execution issues including due diligence, valuation, and post-transaction operational considerations.
· Uses competitive analysis to evaluate, filter, and prioritize opportunities.
· Prepares ad hoc analyses as needed. Supports, and documents the lifecycle of each opportunity and project.
· Partner with BD, R&D and ESI to coordinate Partner interactions at key industry events and participates in partner discussions.
· Manages the tracking of opportunities and alliances with regard to key decision/inflection points.
Qualifications:
· BA/BS minimum requirement, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
· Minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience required
· Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is required
· Experience in alliance management, licensing, and/or M&A preferred
· Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation inputs
· Excellent written/verbal communication with experience briefing executive leadership.
· Strategic mindset, strong commercial judgment, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.
· This role requires up to 15% domestic and international travel
· This role is based out of New Brunswick, NJ. Other J&J locations can be considered.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $150,000 to $258,750. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
