We are searching for the best talent for a Director, Strategic Customer Programs. This role is based in West Chester PA, Warsaw IN, Palm Beach Gardens FL, or Raynham MA. Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.

Purpose: The Director, Strategic Customer Programs is part of the Strategic Customer Programs & Pricing organization. The Director of Strategic Customer Programs provides executive leadership and oversight for initiatives that strengthen relationships with key customers in strategic channels such as AMC’s, ASC’s, and Strategic IDN’s. The Director will drive enterprise-level growth and ensure alignment with organizational strategy. This role partners with senior leadership across functions to deliver innovative solutions, optimize value propositions and strategic offerings, and enhance customer experience at scale.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide strategic customer programs that support long-term partnerships and organizational objectives in strategic channels such as AMC’s, ASC’s, and Strategic IDN’s
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (Key Account Management, Platform Marketing, Pricing & Offer Development, Field Sales, HEMA, Finance, HCC, and Operations) to ensure program success and strategic alignment.
  • Drive organizational change and continuous improvement by monitoring program effectiveness and implementing best practices.
  • Establish governance structures and executive reporting to communicate objectives, milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights, market analysis, and customer feedback.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to key customers, fostering relationships that support mutual success and innovation.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics or Business or related field is required. An MBA and/or an advanced degree is preferred.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years combined experience in Marketing, Commercial Leadership, Finance, Pricing, Contracting, HEMA or related business experience
  • Minimum of 3 years working in Orthopaedics or healthcare related industry
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale strategic initiatives and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Expertise in marketing, pricing strategies, and customer engagement at an enterprise level.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to drive strategic alignment and influence at the executive level
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to lead high-performing teams
  • Expertise in change management and organizational transformation
  • Strong capability in coaching, mentoring, and developing leadership talent
  • Strategic thinking skills (problem solving skills) with proven success in customer-facing roles working with physicians and health system administration
  • Accomplished marketer with proficiencies in value proposition development, brand marketing, customer segmentation, impact modeling, analytics, marketing communications, etc.
  • Financial acumen, with an understanding of business models and monetization strategy
  • Proven experience in challenging the status quo, thinking differently and challenging cultural norms
  • Proven ability to manage through constructive conflict
  • Ability to prioritize and to successfully manage multiple projects/priorities

This role may require up to 30% business travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$150,000-$251,850

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
