The QS&DS Director - Project Osprey is responsible for shaping, architecting, and delivering the QMS separation strategy for Project Osprey (DPS separation), representing the JNJ Quality Systems organization. This role will ensure continuity of quality processes and regulatory compliance during separation. It will coordinate global teams to map and define dispositions for processes, documents and systems, and drive the implementation of Quality applications required for DPS to operate independently.

The role is a senior program leadership position requiring cross‑functional influence, regulatory understanding, deep Quality Systems experience, and the ability to lead organizational change in a regulated environment while minimizing risk to product supply and patient safety. The leader shall work in collaboration with other functions, such as Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain, and with other Quality Workstreams, to resolve interdependencies and ensure aligned handovers

As part of Project Osprey, i.e. the planned separation of the DPS business from J&J, we are searching for a QS&DS Director that can be based in multiple locations. This is a project role expected to last 18-24 months.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead Project Osprey QS Workstream, defining its strategy and Quality Plan, and representing QS in the Global Quality Steering Committee and Core Team.

  • Drive QS elements mapping, dispositions and lead implementation as appropriate.

  • Partner with IT, CSV and DPS to define IT applications and Digital Solutions strategy, including disposition decisioning and validation strategy. Ensure detailed disposition plans are in place and completed according to the established timelines.

  • Develop and operationalize change control synchronization across both companies to avoid divergence in shared procedures during transition.

  • Ensure inspection and audit readiness and develop the audit storyboard

  • Drive the development and execution of Service Agreements as they relate to QS elements, and drive execution towards TSA exit.

  • Manage project budget and resources for the J&J QS workstream, including accruals tracking, and ensuring timely financial reporting.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to your team and build a high‑performing community of practice across regions, workstreams and squads.

This role offers a unique learning and development experience by:

  • Leading a complex, cross‑company QMS separation and gaining deep hands‑on experience in QMS design, digital migrations and regulatory transitions.

  • Working directly with senior leaders across Quality, Regulatory, IT and Supply Chain and present outcomes to the Global Quality Steering Committee.

  • Building a broad cross‑functional network and collaborate with subject‑matter experts across multiple geographies and functions.

  • Accelerating your career by owning high‑impact deliverables that demonstrate program leadership, technical judgment and stakeholder influence.

  • Gaining global exposure through multi‑site coordination, regulatory interactions and international travel as required.
