The College of Pharmacy is looking for a Research Assistant to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. What You Need to Know

Salary: Starting at $45,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location/Schedule: Kingsville, TX/Full-Time

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

​Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor of Science

  • Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry major

Responsibilities

Research

  • Collect, compiles, and analyze research data.

  • Prepares or assists in preparing reports of research funding

  • Manage the breeding and genotyping of animals colonies

  • Order and prepare buffers and research reagents as needed and keeps a log

  • May train users on the preparation and data management of research equipment


Administrative Duties

  • Assists with planning, developing, coordinating, and administering research projects

  • Manage and oversees research equipment

  • Supervisory responsibilities: may carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s objectives, policies and applicable laws.
